Microneedling

What is Microneedling?

Microneedling is a minimally invasive skin treatment designed to stimulate the skin’s natural repair process and support collagen production. Using a specialised device with fine, sterile needles, controlled micro-channels are created in the skin to encourage renewal and improve overall skin texture and tone.

• Fine lines
• Acne scarring
• Uneven skin texture
• Enlarged pores
• Dull or tired-looking skin

Each treatment is tailored following a full consultation to ensure suitability and to achieve the most natural, balanced results.

Before the treatment begins, your skin will be carefully assessed and cleansed. A topical numbing cream may be applied to help ensure comfort during the procedure.

The microneedling device is then gently passed over the treatment area to create precise micro-channels in the skin. The procedure typically takes approximately 30–60 minutes, depending on the treatment area.

Following treatment, the skin may appear slightly red or feel warm, similar to mild sun exposure. This usually settles within 24–48 hours.

Microneedling may help support:

• Improved skin texture
• Increased collagen production
• Enhanced skin radiance
• Reduction in the appearance of fine lines
• Smoother-looking skin

A course of treatments may be recommended depending on your individual skin goals.

Microneedling may also be performed alongside other complementary treatments to support overall skin improvement. In some cases, synergistic treatments such as a chemical peel may be recommended as part of a personalised treatment plan.

Combination treatments are discussed during consultation to ensure suitability and to achieve the most balanced and natural-looking results.

Proper aftercare is important to support the skin’s recovery and achieve the best possible outcome.

For the first 24 hours

• Avoid touching the treated area unnecessarily
• Do not apply makeup
• Avoid excessive heat such as saunas, steam rooms or hot baths
• Avoid strenuous exercise

For the first 48 hours

• Use a gentle cleanser and moisturiser
• Avoid active skincare products such as retinol, AHAs or exfoliating acids
• Avoid direct sun exposure

For 3–5 days

• Apply broad-spectrum SPF daily
• Keep the skin well hydrated
• Avoid exfoliating treatments

Your skin will gradually return to normal as the natural renewal process takes place.

A consultation will be carried out prior to treatment to assess your skin and discuss your goals, ensuring the treatment is appropriate for you.
